Digital Refund and Consumer Guarantees
This policy explains voluntary change-of-mind requests and the consumer guarantees that continue to apply to software purchases.
Updated 16 September 2026: UATA image-credit refunds.
No blanket “no refunds” rule
Nothing in this policy removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees may apply to digital products and services, and the appropriate remedy depends on the nature and seriousness of the problem.
Change of mind
Because downloads and licence activation can be supplied immediately, PluginHub does not ordinarily offer a voluntary refund merely because you changed your mind, no longer need the plugin, bought the wrong product, or did not check the published requirements. We may still choose to offer a discretionary remedy where appropriate.
When a product has a problem
If software is faulty, materially different from its description, unsafe, or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee, contact us with the order email, product, version, environment details and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not send your licence key or passwords in the initial message.
For a major problem, an eligible consumer may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement. For a minor problem, the supplier may first choose to fix the issue within a reasonable time. Other remedies or compensation may apply where required by law.
Compatibility and disclosed limitations
A problem is not automatically a product failure where the product page clearly disclosed an incompatibility or requirement, the customer’s environment falls outside the supported versions, a third-party change caused the issue, or the software was modified or used contrary to documentation. We will assess the actual circumstances and your non-excludable rights.
Effect of a refund
Where a paid purchase is validly refunded, PluginHub may deactivate the associated commercial licence-key, update and support entitlement. A refund does not take away open-source rights already granted in code supplied under the GNU General Public License.
For a UATA image-credit purchase, the credit rules below apply. A credit-pack refund alone does not cancel the separately purchased Pro licence.
UATA credit refunds
A refund of an image-credit purchase reverses the corresponding credits. A partial refund reverses the applicable cumulative proportion. Duplicate payment or refund notifications do not grant or remove credits twice.
If those credits have already been spent, the account can show a credit shortfall. Later credit grants offset that shortfall before further hosted generation is available. These accounting rules do not limit the consumer guarantees and support rights described above.
How to request help
Use the Contact and Support form or email info@pluginhub.com.au. We do not impose a short notification cutoff on statutory consumer-guarantee claims, although contacting us promptly can make investigation easier.
