Software Licence
PluginHub distinguishes rights in supplied plugin code from the commercial services attached to a Pro licence key.
Updated 16 September 2026: UATA verified staging companions.
Code licence
Unless a file or bundled third-party component states otherwise, PluginHub WordPress plugin code is supplied under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. The GPL gives recipients rights to use, study, modify and redistribute covered code subject to its terms.
Commercial entitlement
A purchase also provides a personal PluginHub account and, for the relevant product, a licence-key entitlement to Pro activation, signed updates and reasonable-efforts support. Those services are provided by PluginHub and are separate from the GPL rights in code already supplied.
One active site
One paid entitlement may be active on one site at a time. A staging site and a production site count as separate sites, except for UATA’s verified companion described below. You may transfer the entitlement to another site through the explicit transfer process, which shows the current and target site and requires confirmation before the recorded activation changes.
UATA staging companion: a deliberately linked and verified staging website may share the production account's image-credit balance and validate against its production Pro licence. Both websites must belong to the same PluginHub account. This permits testing alongside one production website; it does not permit a second production activation. Pro deactivation on the staging website does not release the production licence.
UATA Pro is a lifetime one-site licence. Image credits are a separate consumable balance; running out of credits, or expiry of signed-update metadata, does not expire that licence.
No automatic renewal
PluginHub Pro is sold for a one-off price unless a product page expressly states otherwise. There is no automatic renewal. Supplied code does not stop functioning because a subscription ends. Updates and support remain subject to the product continuing to be actively maintained and to the scope in the Support and Updates Policy.
Licence-key security
Keep licence keys private. Do not publish them in source repositories, support forums, analytics, URLs or screenshots. PluginHub may rotate or deactivate a key affected by fraud, chargeback, refund, public disclosure, abuse or a security incident, subject to applicable law.
Trademarks and non-code assets
The GPL does not grant rights to use PluginHub names, logos or trademarks in a way that suggests endorsement, or to reuse third-party assets beyond their own licences.
Consumer rights
This licence does not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. See the Digital Refund and Consumer Guarantees Policy.
